Description
Dumplings with Country Cheese
Ingredients:
Pie:
wheat flour 500 g, rapeseed oil 2 tablespoons, water 250 ml
Stuffing:
boiled and peeled potatoes 650 g onion 2 medium pieces rapeseed oil 4 tablespoons butter 1 tablespoon OSM Piątnica village cheese 120 g salt, pepper to taste 3 pcs.
Execution:
Squeeze the cooked potatoes through the press or grind them on a meat grinder. Dice the onion finely and fry in oil until golden brown. At the end of frying, add a tablespoon of butter and set aside to cool. Add cottage cheese, fried onion, and salt and pepper to taste, drained from the liquid and rinsed on a strainer under running water. Mix thoroughly and form into balls the size of a walnut.
Sift the flour into a bowl, add oil and slowly pouring lukewarm water into a flexible dough. Roll out to a thickness of about 0.3 cm and cut out the discs with a glass.
Make dumplings from the dough rings and stuffing balls. Boil it in lightly salted boiling water, after it has drained for about 2 minutes.
Serve as desired with sour cream, onion, fried bacon or just melted butter.
